First Conservation Data Justice Symposium

In May 2024 we held the first Conservation Data Justice Symposium. Meeting for four days in rural Catalunya a group of 32 researchers presenting 21 papers that were pre-written and pre-circulated. All explore cutting edge issues in conservation data justice, and we hope that this will constitute a field building event for an important new topic. This gathering was marshalled by Lourdes Vera, Laura Sauls, Rose Pritchard, Eric Nost, Jenny Goldstein, Lauren Drakopulos and Dan Brockington, with CONDJUST funding.

Three-day Advanced Graduate workshop on Conservation and Justice

In September 2023 we will welcome to Barcelona 12 advanced post-graduate and early post-doctoral researchers for a three day workshop. Each will present a chapter from their research, which will received commentary from an invited expert. And on the last day we will hold a ‘story-telling’ event, where, with training from the remarkable Tim Ralphs, all 12 participants will be presenting stories from their research, in a publicly available event in Barcelona.
